Why three Ss? The question dates back to an already distant end of 1979 when ESSSE CAFFE' was first sold and when its success story started.

The extra "S" is the company’s assertion of its concept and philosophy, of a logic which is totally based on Scienza (Science), Sapienza (Knowledge) and Specializzazione (Specialisation) in the field of espresso coffee.

Even before starting production and sales of coffee, ESSSE CAFFE' Ltd. (once P.A.C.S. of F. Segafredo & C. Ltd.) integrated the company’s previous experience and its tradition as a family run business under the original owners with competent scientific research in collaboration with the Institute of Food Technology at the Faculty of Agriculture of Bologna University.

Working on this basis, from that time to the present day the company’s involvement has ranged from raw coffee to the final product in the cup, from roasting to the extraction of espresso coffee.

The final aim was to obtain blends for espresso coffee of the highest and most refined quality. The company’s constant search for excellence was rewarded in 1996 with prestigious official international recognition, namely certification on the part of the quality control system which conforms to the UNI EN ISO 9002 standard.

Then the Quality Management System Certification of the company was renewed in line with the new ISO 9001:2000 standards together with the Environmental Management System Certification in compliance with ISO 14001:2004 standards.

In 1998 the company launched a comprehensive programme to update and exploit the image of ESSSE CAFFE'. This was done in stages, the first of which was to create a new logo as the symbol of this renewal but also being careful to preserve a sense of continuity.

SELEZIONE SPECIALE

Coffee beans blend with a good proportion between price and quality; it allows the extraction of an Italian Espresso with good appearance in the cup, a full body and a good balance of taste where we can appreciate a pleasant aftertaste.

The main characteristic of this blend is the excellent balance and roundness of flavors together with the classic body and chocolaty quality and excellent appearance in the cup. This is obtained through a balanced dosage of very high quality Arabica and Robusta beans.

SELEZIONE ESSSE

The end product obtained using this blend is the classic Italian Espresso. Body and chocolaty quality stand out thanks to the balanced use of superior Robusta beans together with the more delicate Arabica selections. This blend's fundamental feature is that it attains exceptional quality consistency regardless of the most varied conditions of use and of the environment.

DECAFFEINATED BEANS

Special blend of decaffeinated coffee whose characteristic body and aroma make the final result as similar as possible to a traditional espresso.

MASINI BLEND

The qualified barman will obtain a delicate, aromatic, velvety espresso with sound body, chocolaty quality and fruit and flowery overtones particularly suited to the most refined and demanding connoisseurs. ESSSE ESPRESSO CAPSULES

Essse espresso capsules are the latest trend in coffee making. The individually sealed capsules are ideal for creating the perfect espresso in one easy step. There is no need for grinding, so there is less mess. Capsules feature a blend of top-quality Arabica and Robusta coffees offering a dense, rich aroma with a chocolaty note and a thick, persistent crema. Each capsule contains approximately seven grams of perfectly roasted and expertly grounded espresso.
